I have to add one more feel that I have just recently seen and found both entertaining and disturbing. I have to preface that I usually hate musicals and foreign films. Not that it's for everyone but those that like interesting films do not pass up "Dancer in the Dark."

1: My Dinner with Andre
2: The Man Without a Face
3: Blazing Saddles
4: The Russians are Coming, the Russians are Coming.
5: A Man Called Horse
6: East of Eden
7: The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
8: Wuthering Heights
9: The Doors
10: To Kill a Mockingbird

Rules are meant to be broken! :p

Excuse me Sean, but you just violated the first two rules. You'll never be a space monkey at that rate.

But good call on Clockwork Orange and Heathers

And, to Tamsen's list...I did enjoy Lock, Stock, but I still think Snatch was better.
My next 10 would include these, and could move up at any time:

To Sir, with Love
Citizen Kane
Glory
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Player
Dr. Srangelove
A Clockwork Orange
To Have, and Have Not
The Chocolate War
Fight Club

Ok, here goes (I'm all over the place). This was wicked tough...

5.Blade Runner (Director's Cut!!)
4.Heathers
3.American Beauty
2.Shawshank Redemption
1.Casablanca

D'oh totally forgot Kevin Smith movies...okay, top 16 include Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Clerks

5. Young Frankenstein
4. Any movie with Leslie Nielsen
3. Big Jake
2. The Searchers
1. The Shootist

5) Return of the Dragon - Chuck Norris vs. Bruce Lee!!!

4) Good Guys Wear Black - Chuck Norris as John T Booker

3) A Force of One - Chuck Norris as Matt Logan tracking down a vicious drug-running gang

2) The Octagon - Chuck Norris, Ninja

1) Missing in Action 3 - Chuck Norris brings our soldiers back!

Ok I just notice that you have a link to Neil Gaiman in your "Recomending" list and I had to be the one to bring up "Mirror Mask" as a top 5 movie.

2) Clerks
3) American Beauty
4) The Wall
5) Mirror Mask

I'd tell you the first one but the first rule is "I'm not supposed to talk about it" and the second rule is "I'm not supposed to talk about it" and the third rule is...

There are a few others, but I thought listing every movie made in 1999 would take to long. (Dogma,Being John Malkovich, etc.). Honestly other than number one it's hard for me to place the top 5.
