The Liberty Amendment

Working to keep it real since 1933. Follow that up with a 'common sense' amendment (for the kind of world where cups of hot coffee don't have to remind the drinkee that the coffee is indeed hot), and we'd be in good shape.

On the 2008 race front, 1st Barack, now Hillary...the only real question is, will he become her running mate or vice versa? Build up both camps, and at last possible second, announce the VP candicay of one with the other- thereby sweeping the Nation with a minority strides two-fer. To me, what's the next best thing to Bill Clinton in the White House (and no, intern-soaked cigar is Not on the list)?

Bill Clinton in the White House, even as accessory.

The Democrats are trying to shoot themselves in the foot again. Whenever they have a sure thing, they work overtime to botch it. As you said- we need a candidate who can WIN. I'm an Edwards fan all the way...
As for health care... Many of us WORK and don't have health care. It's because the politicians are in the pockets of the drug and health care industries.

Just a note on healthcare for adults. In the US everyone over 18 years of age is responsible for themselves, their whole selves and nothing but themselves. I think it's in the Constitution (or so some would like us to believe)

After the republicans complete debacle of a run in office do you really think putting two long shot candidates up is really a good idea for the democrats. I'm not saying that either of these candidates would be a bad choice, just that they have enough going against them by birthright alone that this may not be the best choice.

I would just hate to see the Libertarians slip through while we weren't looking (I've been brushing up on my Zombie Survival just in case).

Obama has come out with a health care plan which would cover everyone in America.
I never understood the reason some people want to cover children but not their parents. They need to be healthy to take care of those children! Obama's plan would cover everyone regardless of age.

I'd like to see Barack at the top of the ticket. He seems like he's a straight talker without the obvious selling out that McCain did (I'm referring to McCain caving to Bush on torture).
I don't think Hillary is likable enough to get elected. I'm also not a fan of hawks in general. But I like her views on healthcare and, going purely by the impression I got from her in the book Primary Colors, she seems to be extraordinarily competent. (Things that sound dirty but aren't) I'd like to see Hillary on the bottom.

I think that might be the ONLY reason anyone would vote for Hillary Clinton- If they assumed we could finally have Bill Clinton back.
A far better idea would be to rescind the 22nd Amendment so we could have the real thing.
Barring that- I'm an Edwards fan all the way!
