Me Ami

I've been in Miami, so apologies for all ten of youse that visit this humble bloggy effort. Visiting with family is wonderful...but it is funny how I'm starting to feel like I need a nap every couple of hours. Lots of activity...and arranging...and talking...and dealing with the shenanigans of a three-year old terribly off schedule- but in the end, rewarding. It's been a good distraction from the whole 'filing for divorce/getting audited because stupid accountant turned out to be shadier than a bat's belfry and got indicted' turn of events.

This is just a drive-by posting, but I did run across (from my treasured favorite site, fimoculous) these tragically amusing 'wartime emoticons'- enjoy.

GREAT friends!!!

T will be just fine. She has a lot of friends who care for her.

Agree with you Xero on the politcal posts! Bring 'em back!

Sounds to me like you married a teen ager, at least I couldn't think of anyone else that would show up to chuck-e-cheese's stoned (though I have to admit it did strike me as interesting idea). But at least you found out sooner rather than later. I mean could be like my wife who didn't really I was a sefl absorbed prick until we had been married nearly 10 years (amazing how we like to delude ourselves). Luckily she chose to stick it out and help me be a better person. (before anyone asks yes even in my most narcissistic moments I was still a supporter of collectivist views).

Seriously though best of luck on whatever is next to come (by my count you have one more bad thing to happen, but that's just following the rule of 3).

Oh and get back to the debatable political commentary.

timeline...3.5years together, 1 year married...and yea, see the base-jumping post to get my current attitude on the institution (ala Fark, 'you're doing it wrong')...just really really really bad at choosing people who are what they say they are...instead of just going by actions, and putting way too much stock on intent...oh, and as far as last straws go, showing up at chuck e cheese's stoned is a pretty darn good one.
c'est la vie- thanks for the mediocre wishes :-)

You know since you put it out there and have exposed your life to public scrutiny I have to ask, how does someone get married and then file for divorce within months (assuming I followed the timeline correctly)? I know for me if my wife ever leaves me (I'm too damn lazy to even consider the idea myself) that I certainly won't do it again. I'm a big fan of Eddie Murphy's idea that if you try something once and fail that "Evidently I don't do the shit right" is a good mantra to live by (or it will at least keep you from getting beat up by guys named Ephram).

I feel for you and know full well that bad shit comes in groups, not one at a time. The good thing about that is that it all gets over with and then you can get back to you wonderfully mediocre life (at least for me).

LOL Thank-you soo much!

Sidney has escaped the yard only once! I re-blocked off the gate and put that dead tree there too for good measure. We've had tons of rain since you left (no lightning or thunder), so there is a lot of mud under the gate. Should hold. Cat is fine. Caught it laying on it's back watching Fox News channel one morning though. Smart cat.
