Gloom, Doom...

I just wanna buy me an Elvis museum and wait for the King to show up and give me some sugar (Ok, I may have seen "Army of Darkness" a few too many times).

Little Discoveries

I recently was introduced to the hauntingly perfect sculpture of Ron Mueck, and feel obligated to share.

From Fimoculous, the Google Vanity ring. First how many myspace friends, then Facebook, and now Google hits...have we really come to a place where we now are judging our self-worth via the frequency and ranking of anonymous- and virtual- interchanges? I wonder if this makes high school easier or harder.

This one is self-titled 'best Venn diagram ever'. I think I might just have to concur. {and for those lost, an explanation of Venn diagrams]

John Cusack interviews Naomi Klein. Unsettling perspective on our layers of contracted government.

Lastly- a few pix of my boy worshipping at the alter of Chuck E. Cheese today for his 3rd birthday. A full three hours of sugar, games, and more sugar- funny how the happiness quotient evolves.

These were with my old digital. In comparison to what the iphone does (see concert photos a few posts back), pretty much concluding it's time to retire the 5 year old Kodak. If anyone has recommendations on reasonably priced ones right now (i.e., Nikon and Olympus I know are best, but probably not gonna happen), I'd appreciate hearing them!

And the Intarweb says...

My trolling today has presented some interesting finds.

YouMob: MobBlogging meets YouTube.

Nice sentiments...when was the last time someone fell in love with Your extraordinary self? Or the last time you caught a spark from a seemingly innocuous conversation that about knocked you out?

Perhaps there is a case where Zen is not Zen when Zen state is manipulated and forced into macabre stillness. Okay, okay, this predates Zen- I know the sect I was raised in was a bit too "me" to fall in with this sort of ritual.

Lastly, in case you've been hiding out from all the brilliant webcomix out there, climb out from your luddite rock to read this one, at least.

'Cool' just got a little cooler

A new project by Alex Proyas (you may recall him as the director of "The Crow", one of my all time favorite movies, and "Dark City"), found at the ever-prolific grow-a-brain.

Proof of God? Sweet Jesus, I hate Bill O'Reilly- because people need to know!

On a personal note, on search for gently used baby goods. If you know of any decent consignment/second hand shops in non-ghetto parts of the Phoenix Metro area, would love the tips.

New designs found here.My fave is the pic above, enter the site and go to 'women' to find to purchase. One of the site owners sent me this link, good luck to them in selling these, nice work.

Oh yea, the babe on the tee? Say, "Hello, Dubya- what country are you invading unnecessarily with that plane today?".

This verdict is written on a cocktail napkin...

And it Still says "Guilty"!

To know me

Is to know I adore Hello Kitty.

Imagine my delight on hearing of Hello Kitty taxi services.

Adding to list of reasons why Tokyo would be a great place to visit (after Australia, New Zealand, and Scotland, of course).

Oh Sweet day

Thank-you, Berke Breathed, for bringing him back from an artistic hiatus. It's a perfect world for him right now, natch.
